‘Cats Land ’13 LB Ray Davison

It won’t bring a smile like a 30-point win over Michigan State, but Northwestern fans could use ANY good news to try and take a bit of the sting out of the soul crushing weekend. Chris Emma of Scout’s PurpleWildcats.com offerred this tiny pick-me-up with news that Northwestern has ended a very long recruiting drought by adding the 18th commit to its 2013 class with LB Ray Davison, of Crespi, California. The ‘Cats had been in pursuit of the 3-star LB since the spring and Davison had NU atop his list all along, but couldn’t wait any longer – the academic edge put him over the top. Davison chose NU over Boise State, Colorado State, Iowa State, San Diego State, Navy and Nevada among others.
The ‘Cats 2013 recruiting class has been getting high marks and the word from insiders were there are only a few slots left and for obvious reasons CB has been a priority. Jaleel Hytchye, a DB from Cincinnati has been right there with Davison as the most likely to commit next to Northwestern. Ray, we’re thrilled to have you as part of the Northwestern community and hope you can help us turn the pain of days like yesterday in to joys of playing for the division and conference title.
