Woooo hoooo!
WOOOOOOOOOO YEAH!!!!!!
I'll let John Belushi summarize the response of your friends at Pink Panties:
"We ran out of gas. We, we had a flat tire. We didn't have enough money for cab fare. Our tuxes didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole our car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T OUR FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD."
First, LTP, I must give you props for your gutsy call.
Second: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Third (to any Iowa fans punishing themselves by reading this blog): HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Finally: it was great to see Fitz get his "big win" - he obviously has Iowa's number and what a great way to earn bowl eligibility for the 3rd straight year.
Go 'Cats!!!
When was the last time we beat a top 5 team?
Just rename Kinnick "Fitzgerald Field" and be done with it.
lol, buckyor owning Iowa so badly with his comments.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
@Sam Weiner- 1959!!
Gotta treat NUB like you treat any other dog you're trying to break in. Give him a treat when they're good, and the rolled up newspaper when they're not.
What time does the team bus come back to Ryan Field? These men need a hero's welcome and so far Marketing hasn't sent me any emails about what time to be at the stadium.
Fitz said 8 pm in the postgame interview.
Today is a great day to be
JUST NORTHWESTERN!
We did it. Big time win for Fitz. It's about time.
Bah. I want to greet the team, but I have to work on a project this evening. We'll see.
anyone know if we've ever had a win against a #4 team? on the road?
anyone know if we've ever beaten a top 4 team? on the road?
I don't want to hear any "we lost Stanzi" excuses. Kafka was hobbled, and Persa got knocked out the game. The Cats went in and gritted out a win.
Although last season looks better on paper, and had more style points, this year has been guttier. I would say with all the injuries that this year is more impressive than last because of all the obstacles to overcome.
All that said, the Cats must win at least one, and hopefully two, more games. I don't think 6-6 will get a bowl bid (and, frankly, I don't believe that 6-6 teams should go to bowls).
But today, let all of us savor the victory.
GO CATS!!!
