Attaboy, Nick Roach! Check out the quote from Nick Roach in reference to the Northwestern-Illinois rivalry between the current Bears LB and WR Brandon Lloyd straight from the Bears website:
School pride: Roach seemingly guaranteed a victory this weekend, but it’s not what you think. The former Northwestern star was asked whether he was going to make a bet with Lloyd, an Illinois product, involving the Big Ten clash between the Wildcats and Fighting Illini Saturday in Evanston.
“No, I don’t mess with that,” Roach said. “We’re going to win anyway, so there’s no reason for me to take his money.”

I'm so happy for Roach. Watching him break his leg two years ago, thinking that it could very well be the last time he ever steps onto a field, was pretty sad.
Two years later, he's started LBer for the Bears.
Sadly, the Illini could win by 2 and Roach would STILL take Lloyd's money. Stupid Vegas.
The Cats are focused, ready, and will be playing for a LOT of well-deserved pride in the last Ryan Field game for the seniors. Time to bring Sweet Sioux back to the shores of Lake Michigan, boys....
GO CATS!
What do you think of a game like this being played on Thanksgiving? As a New Englander who's busy that morning around 10 AM I say why not give it a shot? How do the Mid-Westerners feel?
@patlos - I'm biased. I grew up in RI where football is hardly bigtime, but for one day a year it rules the culture - Thanksgiving. It is an amazing tradition. Would be tough to implement as Big Ten is adamant about only playing on Saturdays.
